Your data, explained plainly.

Information we use

• Waitlist and guide requests: your email address, the country you select, the guide requested, delivery status, source page, and a hash of the short-lived confirmation token. The raw token is not stored.
• Learning: completed lessons, saved phrases and learning preferences. Free activity remains in the browser you are using.
• Consent records: whether marketing was requested, confirmed or withdrawn, together with the consent-copy version and event time.
• Country launch waitlist: your normalized email, the country of residence you select, Cloudflare's separate approximate country code when available, the page and campaign source, the wording version and request timestamps. After confirmation, you may optionally record one membership-plan preference together with the exact offer version shown. Raw IP addresses are not stored in this waitlist.

Why we use it

We use this information to send the guide and confirmation link, activate the waitlist only after confirmation, understand optional interest in the planned membership offers, send one membership-opening email, remember free learning activity in your browser, answer support requests, prevent misuse and honor removal requests.

Guide delivery, the waitlist and marketing

During pre-launch, submitting the clearly labelled form requests the free Café Cheat Sheet and a confirmation link. The guide is immediately downloadable. Only pressing the confirmation button activates the waitlist and authorizes one membership-opening email. Submission and confirmation do not subscribe you to a newsletter. After a successful confirmation, an optional single-choice question may record which planned membership offer interests you. It does not take payment, reserve a founding place or change the one-email permission.

We use the selected country to compare launch demand by country. You can ask us to remove the address at any time. Unused confirmation requests expire after seven days. Non-marketing guide-delivery records are deleted after 90 days. A confirmed waitlist row expires one year after confirmation; notified or withdrawn rows are deleted after 30 days. A daily cleanup enforces these deadlines.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Supabase stores pending confirmations, confirmed waitlist rows and guide-request records. Brevo sends the requested guide and confirmation link and, later, the single membership-opening notification. The transactional guide request does not add you to a newsletter list. Each provider processes the information needed for its part of the service under its own security and retention practices.

Cookies, browser storage and analytics

Browser storage keeps free progress, saved phrases, preferences and onboarding state on the device. This service does not currently add an advertising or third-party product-analytics tracker. Hosting and security providers may still process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the service.

Retention and deletion

Records are kept only for as long as needed to operate the service, secure it, document the stated email purposes and meet record-keeping obligations. Different records therefore have different lifetimes. Unsubscribe or suppression information may be retained so a withdrawn marketing choice is not accidentally reversed.

Access, correction, export and deletion requests

You can ask for a copy or correction of your waitlist and guide-request data, or ask for it to be removed. The request must be verified through the email address used in the form.

Read the personal-data request process before sending a request. Some security or consent records may need to be retained or minimized rather than erased immediately.
